We care about our clients’ experience with the development process. That is why we concentrate
on creating reachable goals for your project, as well keeping you informed on how the process
works, so you can plan confidently for the launch of your new web site.
Innovate
We begin with an idea and turn it into a concept through a series of meetings. The result
is a written document on how your site will function and an image of how your site will look
and feel.
First we will have the kick off meeting, where we discuss what you need and why. We really
figure out how your company will benefit from the new site. We will also talk about color
schemes and how you want your site to feel. This is a very exciting part of the process because
anything goes; we really get into the creative goals of the site.
Our designers will go and hit the drawing board, creating snapshots of what your site is going to look like.
They will draw up anywhere from 1-3 different designs (mockups), which you will choose one of to revise and make
changes to.
Our developers will take off and start creating the plans (Engineering Doc.) for how your site will function.
They really get into the nitty gritty. Each page will be planned out in text so you know exactly what information
is on it, how the user will interact with it, and how it relates to the rest of the site.
This process is repeated over a few meetings, where each time you will be able to make changes here and there to
the mockup/engineering document, until you have the site concept that you need.
Create
It’s off to the shop! We take your concept and our developers turn it into a reality.
This is where your site comes to life. Page by page, section by section, as the developer creates it; you will
be able to interact with it. Once the entire site has been created, we fill it with real content from your
business and begin our testing phase.
During the create phase we encourage your participation. From our experience, many pitfalls can be averted when
the client can actually see, touch, and interact with the new web site while it is being constructed. There will
most likely be many small changes to how you want your site to work, and that is fine by us. We will take care of
those for you without even looking at the original proposal in most cases. Any introduction of completely new
functionality that is not in the engineering document will obviously have to be discussed outside the original project.
We typically save these additions for what we call a phase two site.
The development of a custom application is a living process which is what makes web development so exciting. New ideas
give birth to new ideas, until finally you have an application that is profitable, attractive, efficient and time saving.
Launch
Your site is Live! Whether the application is for an improved e-commerce business, or for internal management of a
large organization, your concept has become your reality.
